Suspect vehicle in criminal investigation flees from troopers – Delaware State Police

Wilmington, DE- Delaware State Police conducting a criminal investigation attempted to carry out a traffic stop on a possible suspect vehicle which fled to Pennsylvania.

At approximately 5:56 p.m. on March 7, 2022, Delaware State Police responded to King of Gold, located at 2201 Silverside Rd., for a reported armed robbery. The unknown suspect entered the business and demanded money while showing off a handgun before fleeing the business. No one was injured in the robbery and an undisclosed sum of money was obtained.

On March 9, 2022, at approximately 4:27 a.m., Delaware State Police responded to Sunoco, located at 3615 Philadelphia Pike, Claymont, for a robbery. During the incident, two male suspects entered the business and demanded money and goods while implying they had a weapon. The suspects then fled the company in an unknown direction. No one was injured in the robbery and an undisclosed amount of cash and goods were obtained.

On March 9, 2022, at approximately 2:05 p.m., Delaware State Police responded to Acme, located at 2098 Naamans Rd., Wilmington, for two male suspects who entered the store and attempted to steal from the display. When the suspects were confronted, one of the suspects punched the victim while the other implied he had a weapon before fleeing the area.

As the soldiers investigated the series of criminal complaints, a possible suspicious vehicle and suspects were observed by the soldiers. Troopers attempted to perform a traffic stop on the white Ford Escape, at which time the vehicle fled to Pennsylvania. At that time, several suspects were taken into custody.
