WINDSOR, Ontario–(BUSINESS WIRE)–Domtar has received a copy of the investigation report issued by the Commission for Standards of Equity in Occupational Health and Safety (CNESST) regarding the collapse of scaffolding that occurred in the digester on October 26, 2021 at its Windsor plant.

Domtar contracts out the engineering design, assembly, inspection and regulatory certification of this type of scaffolding work to companies that specialize in scaffolding. Domtar hopes that the CNESST’s findings will help improve practices in the scaffolding industry to prevent such events from happening in the future.
